Southwest France’s finest spa and gourmet retreat, Les Prés d’Eugénie Hotel & Spa has launched a three-night art of gilding break, the Golden Getaway Package. 

Guided by master gilder Nicholas Dingli, guests will learn how to transform a baroque mirror using beautiful gold leaf, which they can take home at the end of the trip. 

The packages includes nine hours of gilding over three days, three night’s accommodation at the hotel with breakfast, supper at L’Auberge de la Ferme aux Grives, and a visit to the spa. The Golden Getaway Package costs from €2,282 for two people.

Owned and managed by three Michelin star chef Michel Guérard and his daughters, Les Prés d’Eugénie estate is home to 25 rooms, 20 suites and apartments, three restaurants including fine dining three-Michelin starred restaurant Michel Guérard, world-famous thermal spa La Ferme Thermale and a 50-acre vineyard.
